How we make money

Mint & Medina is funded mainly by selling our own digital products, such as planners, itineraries and city guides. These products are clearly presented as ours in the shop and wherever we mention them in articles.

Affiliate links

At the moment we don't use affiliate links. If we add them in future (for example to booking platforms, tours or travel insurance), we may earn a commission when you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Any article containing affiliate links will say so near the top of the page, and this page will list the programmes we take part in.

Sponsored content

We don't currently publish sponsored content. If we ever do, it will be clearly labelled as “Sponsored” or “Paid partnership” and kept separate from our editorial recommendations.

Editorial independence

No business can pay to be included in, or to influence, our guides. We recommend places and services because we believe they are useful to travellers, never because of a commercial relationship. Read our editorial policy.

Gifts and free services

If we ever accept a free or discounted service for research, we will disclose it in the relevant article.
